Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Remote (Pittsburgh, PA) - Must work in EST time zone

ONLY W2

Job Description:

This position requires a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer with a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing Java-based J2EE applications. The ideal candidate will possess 10-12 years of hands-on experience and a proven track record of success in complex enterprise environments. Experience in the supply chain domain is a plus. The developer will be responsible for technical production support and triaging integration issues between multiple applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement Java-based J2EE applications.
  • Provide technical production support and resolve integration issues between multiple applications.
  • Utilize any IDE/Eclipse (or similar) for development, employing commonly used plug-ins and debugging techniques.
  • Apply JEE patterns and effectively use commonly used patterns in real-time situations, including messaging.
  • Implement MySQL database solutions and PL/SQL stored procedures.
  • Utilize Java frameworks, including Spring or similar frameworks, JSP, JSF, and XML.
  • Develop integrations using Web Services/SOA and EJB, preferably on the IBM WebSphere platform.
  • Utilize build and deployment tools and languages, specifically Maven.
  • Develop robust Data Layers using frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
  • Utilize log monitoring tools such as Splunk or Data dog.
  • Implement and debug SOAP and REST services.

Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years of experience in Java/J2EE application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Core Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, and Hibernate.
  • Extensive experience with SQL databases.
  • Experience with technical production support.
  • Proven ability to triage integration issues between multiple applications.
  • Experience with any IDE/Eclipse.
  • Solid understanding of JEE patterns.
  • Experience with MySQL DB and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with JSP, JSF, and XML.
  • Experience with Web Services/SOA and EJB (IBM WebSphere preferred).
  • Experience with Maven.
  • Strong backend development experience with Hibernate or JPA.
  • Experience with log monitoring tools (Splunk, Data dog).
  • Experience with SOAP and REST services.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in the EST time zone.
