Job Title: Oracle EBS SCM Techno-Functional Consultant (E-Commerce Domain)

Location: Atlanta, GA or Bay Area, CA (Onsite – 4 days/week)
Engagement Type: Contract / Long-Term Engagement

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS SCM Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in O2C, RMA, Inventory, Manufacturing (Work Orders), and E-Commerce online shopping flows. The ideal candidate will have a balanced mix of functional and technical skills, with hands-on experience integrating Oracle EBS with Mulesoft or other middleware platforms. The consultant will support, enhance, and optimize end-to-end EBS SCM processes for a high-volume online retail/e-commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end analysis, design, and support for Oracle EBS SCM modules including:

    • Order Management (O2C)

    • Returns/RMA

    • Inventory

    • Manufacturing (Work in Process, Work Orders)

  • Support functional configurations, setups, testing cycles (SIT, UAT), and production issues.

  • Design solutions for e-commerce order flows, shopping cart to fulfillment, and post-order processes.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and propose scalable solutions.

  • Prepare BRDs, MD50s, test scripts, and user training documents.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Provide strong techno-functional expertise with ability to:

    • Develop/modify Oracle EBS customizations, interfaces, and extensions.

    • Build and support integrations using Mulesoft or any middleware layer (OIC, SOA, REST/SOAP APIs).

    • Troubleshoot order failures, interface errors, workflow issues, and performance bottlenecks.

  • Work with technical developers to write technical specs (MD70), validate code, and support deployment activities.

  • Support EDI/E-commerce integrations with front-end applications and warehouse/3PL systems.

E-Commerce & Online Shopping Flow

  • Manage end-to-end online order lifecycle:
    Cart → Order Placement → Payment → Fulfillment → Shipping → Returns/RMA → Inventory updates

  • Ensure accurate data flow between e-commerce platform, middleware, and Oracle EBS.

  • Collaborate closely with digital, operations, and supply chain teams to optimize customer experience and fulfillment KPIs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of Oracle EBS SCM experience with strong techno-functional capabilities.

  • Expertise in:

    • O2C cycle

    • RMA/Returns

    • Inventory Management

    • Manufacturing & Work Orders

  • Hands-on experience with E-Commerce integration flows.

  • Strong technical skills in:

    • SQL/PLSQL

    • Interfaces & APIs

    • Mulesoft or equivalent middleware technologies.

  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and lead issue resolution.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Oracle EBS R12.2.x upgrades.

  • Exposure to OIC, SOA, or modern API-based integrations.

  • Experience with warehouse systems (WMS), logistics, or shipping carriers.

  • Knowledge of payment gateway integrations.
