This pivotal role involves working closely with both business users and the management team to provide essential development services and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of technical designs, development, testing, implementation, and production support for moderately complex custom developed systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence and enhance our core operational processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Directly interact with business users and management to comprehend requirements, address issues, and identify challenges to provide high-value development and support services.
- Develop, coordinate, and manage application production support and system enhancement efforts for existing and new applications supporting liquid products transportation.
- Facilitate and coordinate user acceptance testing, change management, issue management, problem escalation and resolution, and overall application development and support.
- Perform system analysis on projects of major scope to devise solutions for technical and business-related problems.
- Develop and document application program logic and syntax from project design specifications or models.
- Collaborate with customers to determine system specifications and business/technical requirements to meet their needs effectively.
- Utilize industry-accepted project management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Acquiring and maintain system and business knowledge necessary to support direct users and other internal technical teams.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise-class commercial applications.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and technology staff.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in translating business requests and requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience in end-to-end project lifecycles for mid to large enterprise technology initiatives is preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Self-motivated team player with a clear vision and initiative.
- Availability for rotational shifts for after-hours business support and/or technical maintenance.
- Four-year degree from an accredited university in CIS or Computer Science is preferred.
- PL/SQL expertise and experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server are required.
