Job Title: Salesforce Technical Architect

Location: Cranston, RI

Duration: 6 Months

Job Summary

The Salesforce Technical Architect will support the Clients Training s Workforce Regulation System and Certified Payroll Salesforce implementation. This role is responsible for technical architecture oversight, Salesforce implementation governance, deployments, maintenance, and support. The position works closely with agency leadership, vendors, and project teams to ensure Salesforce solutions align with enterprise standards, best practices, and ETSS policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure business requirements and project deliverables are met
  • Review and oversee Salesforce solution architectures to maximize platform capabilities
  • Participate in technical design sessions and document architecture aligned with business objectives
  • Identify gaps or variances between requirements and proposed technical solutions
  • Enforce state-defined coding standards and recommend improvements when needed
  • Lead code reviews to ensure quality, scalability, and adherence to design patterns
  • Lead data migration efforts, including:
    • Migration from legacy systems (Informix)
    • Design and development of third-party file-sharing solutions
    • Design and development of data-sharing solutions for system lookups
    • Additional data migration and integration requirements
  • Work with system implementors on custom development, integrations, and data migration activities
  • Provide technical oversight with significant autonomy, reporting progress through consultations and documentation

Education & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or a closely related field (e.g., Business Management or Public Administration)
  • Supplemental training in information technology or research preferred

Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years of Salesforce CRM experience as an Architect or Architect/Implementor
  • Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Cloud
  • Expert-level knowledge of the Salesforce product suite
  • Strong understanding of scalable system architecture and performance-driven solutions
  • Proven experience with large-scale data migration and best practices
  • Knowledge of data sharing, visibility models, and platform architecture
  • Experience with authentication and security patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth, TLS, SSL)
  • Hands-on experience with system integrations and data integration tools
  • Strong knowledge of environment management, release management, and deployment methodologies
  • Expertise in defining current vs. future-state architectures and delivering end-to-end solutions
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work model preferred
  • Works under administrative direction of Senior ETSS Leadership and assigned Project Management team
  • Role requires independent judgment and initiative
