Network/Telecom Specialist

DataStaff, Inc. is in need of a Network/Telecom Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC.
*This position is 100% onsite
Responsibilities:

• Support COVID and other Infectious disease case investigation and contact tracing via working directly with employees to support Infrastructure and Operations Support to the existing PHIN Ops
• Design and maintenance of both the hardware and software necessary for a computer network
• Specialization in Local Area Networks (LANs)/Wide Area Networks (WANs), TCP/IP, virtual machines, and/or server/network infrastructure
• Responsibility for installation, configuration and administration of network routers and switches
• Responsibility for installation of cable, wiring and related equipment for telephony and data interfaces and systems with communications functions
• Execution of disaster recovery / back up procedures and archiving procedures
• Responsibility for performance tuning, capacity planning, database administration, and fault management
• Assisting to support Linux & Windows clusters and systems administration and automation and as well as SAN management.
• Additional work regarding Apache Tomcat, Wildfly and java web application management and configuration for deployments to server

Knowledge and Skills

• Able to work without assistance
• Can provide limited leadership to others
• Able to manage medium complexity work efforts
• May have industry experience.

Desired Skills:

• 1 Year - BASH scripting and shell scripts
• 1 Year - Wildfly application management
• 2 Year - MSSQL Admin
• 2 Year - VMWARE and Hyper-V
