The Product Integrity (PI) organization within Apple's Hardware Engineering is a multidisciplinary team of engineers responsible for ensuring our products deliver outstanding customer experiences from the moment of purchase and continue to perform optimally over time. We adhere to and surpass international standards and regulations. We collaborate with teams across Apple to ensure flawless integration of software, hardware, and services. We are seeking a hard-working project manager to join the Product Integrity Engineering Services (ES) team. The project manager will be a key member of a global team responsible for leading strategic contingent workforce and managed services engagements including planning, operations, compliance and finances. They will be responsible for evaluating resource and project requirements, developing vendor strategies, mitigating risks and identifying the most qualified vendors and contractors globally. Description This role requires collaborating multi-functionally with a large multi-disciplinary engineering organization across different time-zones as well as other internal teams such as Procurement, Finance, Legal, EPM, IS&T, New Product Security, Network Security and Supplier Responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Assist engineering managers with requirements and vendor engagement
  • Review statements of work, RFPs and quotations
  • Drive vendor selection, calibration and onboarding
  • Partner with procurement on contracts and negotiations
  • Coordinate engineering services operations, documentation and tracking
  • Oversee critical sourcing metrics, quality of service and deliver feedback to improve performance.
  • Track and report financial forecasts and actual payments
  • Champion standard methodologies and ensure compliance
  • Implement process improvements and tools

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree. An engineering or technical degree and experience is helpful.
  • At least 5 years or more experience with contingent workforce, resource planning and vendor management in an engineering organization within a global company.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and contribute to key strategic decisions
  • Attention to detail, data accuracy and quality of output
  • Outstanding flexibility in managing shifting priorities
  • Experience with outsourcing, offshore development centers (ODCs) and statements of work (SOW)
  • Experience with budgeting and spend analysis
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) with outstanding presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Keynote skills
  • Knowledge of database usage, survey tools and SOP documentation

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $128,400 and $236,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
