Job Description:
- The CapEx Financial Controls Consultant will oversee capital expenditure (CapEx) governance, compliance reporting, and data integrity across global real estate or infrastructure programs. This role ensures financial accuracy, standardized reporting, and effective collaboration between Finance, Project Management, and Compliance teams.
- The consultant will act as a subject matter expert in CapEx control processes, including cost forecasting, Value of Work Done (VOWD), and Monthly Cost Review (MCR), to maintain visibility into project performance and financial health.
Responsibilities:
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Oversee quarterly CapEx Compliance and Diverse Spend reporting to ensure adherence with company policies and audit requirements.
- Financial Governance & Controls:
- Lead monthly CapEx deep-dive reviews (QA/QC) and drive accuracy in forecasting and variance analysis.
- Support CapEx planning in coordination with Regional Leads and General Managers (GMs).
- Data Integrity:
- Maintain data accuracy and completeness within REDD systems (e.g., e-Builder, financial outlook trackers).
- Drive data clean-up initiatives and implement process improvements for ongoing system reliability.
- Performance Tracking:
- Manage bi-monthly Value of Work Done (VOWD) collection, consolidation, and reporting.
- Oversee the Monthly Cost Review (MCR) process, ensuring standard templates and methodologies are used globally.
Experience:
- 8+ years in financial controls, project accounting, or CapEx project management (preferably in real estate, construction, or infrastructure domains).
- Strong command of CapEx governance, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with e-Builder, Oracle, SAP, or similar project cost management tools.
- Proven ability to perform QA/QC on financial data and maintain compliance with corporate reporting standards.
- Excellent Excel and data management skills (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards).
