Job Description

Education:
Bachelor's (BS) or (MS) degree in Computer Science or equivalent subjects.

Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test.
Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment with colleagues worldwide.
Excellent problem-solving and reasoning skills.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, Groovy, or Shell.
Demonstrated experience in test framework design and development.
Familiarity with Scrum and agile development processes and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of container and microservices technologies.
Good knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with the Microsoft .NET platform is a plus.

Position Overview:
We're looking for a software development engineer in test to join the Client Customer Error Report (CER) team at the Client Vancouver R&D Center (AVRD) based in Vancouver, Canada. The team's mission is to reinvigorate the CER system and services using the latest web, cloud, and data analysis technologies to better serve internal customers across product lines, divisions, and all disciplines within the company.
This is your chance to help shape the future of the CER team for Project, Field, and Managers to accelerate delivery, save money, and reduce risk. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, operating, managing, optimizing, and monitoring the CER services to ensure they provide excellent stability for Client products. You should possess a strong knowledge of the latest web and cloud technologies and stay informed about industry trends.

Responsibilities:
Participate as part of a collaborative tech team.
Engage in product testing, including requirements analysis, design review, formulation of test strategies, design and execution of test cases, defect tracking, software quality analysis, and risk analysis.
Develop automated testing tools and cases according to business line needs.
Contribute to a high-performance team through meaningful individual contributions.
Collaborate with a broader team of software developers, DevOps engineers, and product designers in the United States and other global engineering sites.
Stay informed about industry best practices and essential developments in cloud applications.
Propose cloud-related optimizations and best practices to enhance reliability, performance, scalability, and resiliency.
Foster a culture of innovation and teamwork.
