Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished SAP Practice Leader to build, scale, and lead our SAP practice. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of delivery excellence, techno-commercial acumen, CXO-level communication, practice building, and revenue growth. This role will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of SAP strategy, offerings, people, delivery, and profitability.

 

Key Responsibilities

Practice & Business Growth

  • Define and execute the SAP practice strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Build and scale SAP service offerings across S/4HANA, ECC, RISE with SAP, BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, IBP, and other SAP modules.
  • Drive revenue growth, pipeline creation, and deal closures in collaboration with sales and leadership teams.
  • Own P&L responsibility for the SAP practice, including margin optimization and cost control.
  • Identify market trends, partner opportunities, and emerging SAP solutions to expand offerings.

 

Delivery & Execution

  • Provide overall governance and leadership for SAP program and project delivery.
  • Ensure delivery excellence across implementations, rollouts, upgrades, AMS, and transformation programs.
  • Establish delivery frameworks, best practices, quality standards, and KPIs.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex delivery and customer issues.

 

Techno-Commercial Leadership

  • Lead pre-sales, solutioning, estimations, and proposal reviews.
  • Shape end-to-end SAP solutions combining technical feasibility and commercial viability.
  • Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial models (fixed price, T&M, managed services).
  • Partner with sales teams in large deal pursuits and strategic accounts.

 

Client & CXO Engagement

  • Build and manage strong relationships with CXO and senior stakeholders at client organizations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on SAP transformation, roadmap planning, and value realization.
  • Lead executive steering committees, QBRs, and strategic discussions.
  • Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and account expansion.

 

People & Practice Development

  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing SAP teams (functional, technical, and solution architects).
  • Define competency frameworks, career paths, and certification plans for SAP consultants.
  • Drive knowledge management, reusable assets, accelerators, and IP creation.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and delivery excellence.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years of overall experience with extensive SAP leadership exposure.
  • Proven experience in leading SAP practices or large SAP portfolios.
  • Strong hands-on understanding of SAP architecture and enterprise transformations.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, practice scaling, and P&L ownership.
  • Excellent techno-commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage and influence CXO-level stakeholders.
  • Experience working with global delivery models and large enterprise clients.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP certifications (S/4HANA, Solution Architect, or relevant modules).
  • Experience working with SAP partners and hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Exposure to multiple industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, CPG, Pharma, or BFSI.
