Job Description:
Pay Range: $34.91hr - $38.91hr
- The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing complex accounts to achieve corporate Daily Sales Outstanding (DSO) objectives.
- This role involves reviewing collection queues, resolving invoice disputes, recommending credit extensions, and executing strategies to optimize operational cash flow.
- Review the daily GetPaid Collection work queue and communicate with assigned customers to ensure timely collection of higher revenue/complex accounts.
- Develop and execute collection strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly cash flow objectives.
- Resolve disputed invoices in collaboration with internal teams.
- Prepare documentation packets supporting customer credits for product pricing errors.
- Review and release pending customer orders held due to credit concerns according to department guidelines.
- Analyze customer credit ratings and history to recommend credit extensions and limits.
- Identify and present accounts requiring third-party collection action to management.
- Perform other incidental duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in collections or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ERP software (e.g., JDE).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with a focus on negotiation and persuasion.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of company products, customers, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism in interactions across organizational levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
