Job Description
***Only qualified IT Auditor candidates located near Newark, NJ area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***

Education:
Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:
2-3 years of relevant experience (as per initial education and experience requirement section).
5+ years of IT audit experience in professional services or relevant IT internal audit industry experience (as per qualifications section).
Hands-on experience with Government cybersecurity regulations
Hands-on experience with IT governance and control frameworks such as CMMC, NIST 800 series, and ISO 27001

Certification Requirements:
CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)

Technical Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
Strong understanding of IT and cybersecurity concepts, including:
Logical and physical security (including cloud-based)
Network and database security
Computer operations
Software development practices
Familiarity with Level 1 CMMC Self-Assessment is preferred
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and execute CMMC pre-audit and certification audit processes.
Collect and assess evidence from business owners to test internal controls.
Schedule and lead meetings to communicate evidence requirements and audit outcomes.
Review and update policies and procedures as needed based on audit findings.
Conduct control testing and document results.
Identify control failures and recommend process improvements.
Collaborate with business owners to develop and manage remediation plans.
Maintain and track a Data Request List (DRL) across 15-20 business owners and 110+ controls.
Organize and store audit evidence efficiently using Microsoft Teams.
Liaise with the Government Center of Excellence, Legal, Information Security, Compliance Manager, and various IT business units.
Facilitate meetings with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
Document meeting minutes and action items.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on IT and cybersecurity standards.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deliverables under tight deadlines.
