Job Title: Senior Golang Developer
Duration: 9+ Months Contract
Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Golang Developer to join our team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend development, distributed systems, and cloud-based architectures. You will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale systems that support connected vehicle technologies and telematics within TMNA s global app ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write well-defined, high-quality, and thoroughly tested code.
  • Document work clearly and perform validation/testing for new or improved features prior to release.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases and conduct peer code reviews.
  • Solve complex challenges related to connected vehicle technology, mobility, and telematics.
  • Address distributed systems issues involving scalability, reliability, low latency, and high availability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, requirements, and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues efficiently across multiple environments.
  • Adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes as introduced by the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and team members to meet all project deliverables and milestones.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years total software development experience.
  • Golang: Minimum 3 5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Java: Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Strong experience with protobufs and gRPC.
  • Deep understanding of Go Routine and Channel patterns.
  • Knowledge and application of Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD best practices.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka for producing and consuming messages.
  • Proficiency with AWS services: Secrets Manager, SQS, SNS, and Lambdas.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
  • Skilled in GIT, VS Code (or other IDEs), JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience using Datadog for tracing, monitoring, and debugging.
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required).
