Job Title: Senior Golang Developer 
Duration: 9+ Months Contract
Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid   3 Days Onsite)
 
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Golang Developer to join our team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend development, distributed systems, and cloud-based architectures. You will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale systems that support connected vehicle technologies and telematics within TMNA s global app ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Write well-defined, high-quality, and thoroughly tested code.
 - Document work clearly and perform validation/testing for new or improved features prior to release.
 - Maintain and improve existing codebases and conduct peer code reviews.
 - Solve complex challenges related to connected vehicle technology, mobility, and telematics.
 - Address distributed systems issues involving scalability, reliability, low latency, and high availability.
 - Create and maintain technical documentation, requirements, and specifications.
 - Troubleshoot and debug issues efficiently across multiple environments.
 - Adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes as introduced by the organization.
 - Collaborate closely with Product Owners and team members to meet all project deliverables and milestones.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years total software development experience.
 - Golang: Minimum 3 5 years of hands-on experience.
 - Java: Minimum 3 years of experience.
 - Strong experience with protobufs and gRPC.
 - Deep understanding of Go Routine and Channel patterns.
 - Knowledge and application of Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD best practices.
 - Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
 - Hands-on experience with Kafka for producing and consuming messages.
 - Proficiency with AWS services: Secrets Manager, SQS, SNS, and Lambdas.
 - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
 - Skilled in GIT, VS Code (or other IDEs), JIRA, and Confluence.
 - Experience using Datadog for tracing, monitoring, and debugging.
 - Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required).
