Job Title: Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) Technical Editor
Location: San Diego, CA 92127
Pay Rate: $21 - $25 per hour
Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Employment Type: 100% Onsite | Temp-to-Hire
Essential Responsibilities:
- Research and compile diagnostic and repair data using the Electronic Publishing System under the supervision of the Coordinating Senior Editor, Senior Editor, or Team Lead.
- Ensure technical accuracy and consistency of information within established guidelines.
- Once fully trained, meet productivity and quality standards.
- Collaborate in a team environment to support organizational objectives.
- Recommend improvements to CVG products based on customer feedback or industry knowledge.
- Stay informed on competitive products and industry trends.
- Provide project status reports as requested.
- Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude with internal departments.
- Develop and expand knowledge of current commercial vehicle applications and technologies.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education Requirements:
- High school diploma required; auto shop classes preferred.
- AA degree or Vo-Tech certification preferred, with emphasis on commercial vehicle diagnostics and repair.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in the commercial vehicle industry with a focus on diagnostics.
- ASE certification is a plus.
- Completion of at least one college-level English writing course or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Ability to identify relevant technical information for diagnostic and repair content.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Office environment.
- Overtime may be required based on business needs, including occasional Saturdays.
