Job Title: Audio Video (AV) Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Video (AV) Engineer to design, implement, and maintain professional-grade AV solutions integrated with enterprise networks. This role combines AV engineering expertise with strong networking skills to ensure seamless delivery of audio and video across IP-based environments for meetings, events, and collaboration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and support AV over IP solutions including video conferencing, digital signage, control systems, and live streaming platforms.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot AV systems including codecs, microphones, speakers, displays, and switching hardware.
  • Integrate AV systems with enterprise networks, ensuring low-latency and high-reliability performance.
  • Collaborate with IT, facilities, and third-party vendors to deliver AV projects on time and within scope.
  • Monitor AV system performance and proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime.
  • Document system architectures, configurations, and SOPs for AV operations.
  • Provide technical support for executive meetings, webinars, and large-scale virtual events.
  • Ensure AV solutions comply with security, accessibility, and interoperability standards.
  • Train end-users and support teams on AV system usage and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, AV Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise AV systems and IP networking.
  • Strong understanding of AV protocols (HDBaseT, Dante, AES67, NDI) and network protocols (TCP/IP, QoS, VLANs, Multicast).
  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Crestron, Extron, Cisco Webex, or Poly.
  • Familiarity with AV control systems and programming (e.g., Crestron SIMPL, Extron, Q-SYS).
  • Experience with live streaming and video capture solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, CCNA, Dante Level II/III.
  • Experience in AV design tools like AutoCAD, Visio, or D-Tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based AV management and monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to AV and network systems.
