Quality Assurance & Product Specialist

Remote | Contract | Part-time (10-15 hours/week)

We're working with a product-led startup preparing to move from simulation to live-money operations in a highly regulated, cash-intensive industry. As part of this transition, we re seeking a QA & Product Specialist who can rigorously test workflows, flag edge-case issues, and help ensure operational integrity from day one.

This role is well-suited for someone with a strong eye for detail, a passion for identifying unseen gaps in logic and user experience, and the ability to collaborate across technical and product domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test plans that reflect the complexity of real-world transaction flows.

  • Partner with engineers and designers to proactively identify bugs and inconsistencies across frontend and backend systems.

  • Validate business logic and enforcement mechanisms with both manual and automated testing methods.

  • Own the final checkpoint between testing and deployment.

Required Experience:

  • Proven background in QA or product testing roles, ideally within startup or regulated environments.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Cypress, Postman, Charles Proxy, and modern test management platforms.

  • Comfortable working in asynchronous environments with distributed teams.

  • Experience with GraphQL, API-driven systems, or mobile-first interfaces is preferred but not required.

Compensation:

  • Contract-based (10-15 hrs/week)

  • $3,000/month during trial phase

  • Equity potential post-trial based on contribution and alignment
