Pharmaceutical Project Manager of Scientific Affairs (CONTRACT 893127)

Location: Remote in Eastern time zone, USA. 
Contract length: 6 months with potential to extend or convert to FTE.
Hourly rate: $65-68/hr.

QUALIFICATIONS
MUST HAVES:

  • Small to mid-market Pharma experience and be comfortable wearing other hats to move projects forward.
  • Highly detail oriented - will need to work with Legal, Compliance, Accounting, Contracts and Reg Affairs teams.
  • Veeva/GXP
  • Great soft skills and willingness to contribute to the need in a shifting environment.
  • Pharma Grants Experience a plus
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate (i.e. BS/BA, MS/MA, RN, PharmD) level of degree from an accredited university/program
  • 5+ years of industry focused pharmaceutical experience, preferably in Project Management in Medical Affairs, or Medical/Commercial Operations
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies/partners.
  • Experience managing vendors and budgets desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced computer and Internet skills, including knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, DocuSign, etc.
  • Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be well-organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must display great attention to detail, professionalism, discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to interact with and coordinate activities with internal partners (i.e. Legal, Finance, Accounting, Medical Affairs, Marketing, etc.) as they relate to on-going medical affairs projects.
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision and guidance.
POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager of Scientific Affairs (Contract) is a critical team role, reporting to the Senior Manager of Scientific Affairs. This role will support the entire Scientific Affairs teams with operational and organizational needs related to vendor contracts, health care professional (HCP) consulting agreements, work orders for HCPs and vendors, purchase orders (POs), invoices, and related financial forms. This individual will liaise directly with vendors and HCP consultants to gather necessary documents, will consult the client-side Compliance team to ensure appropriate fair market valuation (FMV) rates, and will work directly with the Legal team to draft and route agreements. They will develop a system to track and organize Scientific Affairs documents related to the above agreements. The Project Manager of Scientific Affairs Contracts may assist with other Scientific Affairs Operational needs such as project-budget alignment, and cross-functional coordination of projects and contracts. Essential to this role are attention to detail, organizational skills, professionalism, discretion with sensitive and confidential information, and the ability to effectively communicate and work with internal and external partners in a fast-paced environment.


JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

 
  • Support the Scientific Affairs teams with operational and organizational needs related to externally sponsored research contracts, health care professional (HCP) consulting agreements, work orders for HCPs and vendors, purchase orders (POs), invoices, and related financial forms
  • Liaise with Mirum vendors and HCP consultants to gather necessary documents necessary for preparing contracts, such as statements of work (SOWs) and budget proposals, HCP license and NPI information, CVs/resumes, and financial forms
  • Work with the Mirum Legal team to draft and route agreements, utilizing appropriate templates, processes, and systems
  • Assist with other Scientific Affairs Operational needs such as project-budget alignment, and cross-functional coordination of projects and contracts

Compensation:
The estimated pay rate for this position is $65-68/Hr. and is an Exempt role. Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
