Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
Duties and Tasks:
Supports the development of program required security documentation, including items such
as security plans, contingency plans, and security tests plans and procedures in compliance
with the IA policy
Supports the generation of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) (or Certification and
Accreditation (C&A) documentation for the program
Executes or supports execution of A&A (or C&A) activities
Executes or supports execution of security testing and evaluation to ensure the correct
implementation of security requirements
Executes security scanning and the analysis of the scan results
Supports secure maintenance
As a member of the cyber security team, may support the system security design effort,
security requirements analysis, and security requirements flow down to the program elements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Very solid application of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories
Very solid understanding of verification and validation process
Familiar with cyber security specifications such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), DIACAP, STIGs and other government security specifications and guidelines
Aware of business objective and Engineering role in achieving
Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions
Very solid ability to clearly recognize and report relevant system security concerns and issues
Receives and acts on instructions from immediate supervisor
Ability to participate in and contribute to multiple work groups
Works under general supervision
May have some contact outside Engineering or with external customers
Very solid written and verbal communications skills
Creative thinker, good multi-tasker
Very solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
