Join Our Team as a Senior Business Financial Manager at G2 Software Systems
G2 Software Systems, Inc. (G2SS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Financial Manager to join our dynamic team. If you have extensive experience with budget planning, execution, and reconciliation within defense programs, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations and support defense program initiatives.

About the Role:
As a Senior Business Financial Manager at G2SS, you will work closely with program managers, business financial managers (BFM), and acquisition professionals to manage and track program finances, ensuring alignment with defense and foreign military sales (FMS) policies. Your expertise in financial systems, such as NERP, and your ability to reconcile contracts and budgets will be instrumental in supporting key decision-making processes for leadership. May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of budgets, spend plans, and related financial activities.
  • Leverage experience with NERP to create and manage WX PR, MIPR, and SPSPR.
  • Track, reconcile, and resolve issues related to contracts, ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate the FMS SAPBR (budget cycle) to support financial oversight.
  • Assist BFM in responding to data calls from DSCA, NIPO, SSCO, or NAVWAR Comptroller 1.0 (DARQ, Sales Orders, or DTS labels).
  • Support the BFM/APMs with program budget planning for FMS admin, MJASA planning, and BPC planning.
  • Prepare executive summaries, point papers, data call responses, and briefing packages to facilitate leadership decision-making.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of FMS program planning policies, funding processes, contracting, and procurement functions.
  • Ensure proper tracking of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and maintain reports associated with DoD and FMS execution records.
  • Provide financial management support for a branch, office, organization, or department.
  • Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders.
  • Manage finances across multiple funding types.
  • Track budgets, costs, and variances.
  • Produce executive summaries.
  • Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements.
  • Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
  • Interpret and apply financial management principles.
  • Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in budget planning, execution, and reconciliation for DoD programs or FMS.
  • Proven experience with NERP systems and the ability to create and manage WX PR, MIPR, and SPSPR.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review and evaluate FMS SAPBR budget cycles.
  • Knowledge of DoD and FMS financial management processes, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member; complete concurrent tasks and learn/apply technical concepts
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in FMS financial planning, including FMS admin, MJASA, and BPC programs.
  • Expertise in responding to data calls from DSCA, NIPO, SSCO, or NAVWAR Comptroller 1.0.
  • Familiarity with DoD financial systems and reporting structures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to navigate each department at the assigned facility.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in vibrant San Diego, CA, where you ll work side by side with the team and our clients to achieve mission success. Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this position in California is $130,000/year to $160,000/year, depending on your expertise, market location conditions, and government contract specifics.
