The Work
The Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence Simulation (C3ISim) team is seeking a software engineer to support the development of a high-fidelity Monte Carlo simulation used to model defense scenarios for tactical applications. In this role you will design, integrate, and test C3I simulation components that enable prototyping of new ship designs, evaluation of system performance, and system verification. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams in radar, sensor management, threat evaluation, and weapon control to ensure accurate representation of functional controls and track-processing logic.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require a U. S. DoD security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent with minimum 2 years' professional experience
Proficient with software development using C++
Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, build, and release
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
Experience with software testing and integration
Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level

Desired skills

Experience working in an Agile development environment
Knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
Familiarity with shell scripting
Understanding of DevOps principles and practices

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $135,961.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
