Wintel Systems Administrator Job in in Orange, CT

Contract Pay Rate Range: $35.00-45.00 per hour based on experience, education, geographic location and other factors.

AKKODIS is seeking a Wintel Systems Administrator Job in in Orange, CT. This induvial will need hands on System Administration with both physical and virtualized environments.

Responsibilities of the Wintel Systems Administrator Job in in Orange, CT:
  • Develop and maintain documentation of all processes associated with administration of Wintel environments and duties performed by system administrators
  • Work with the Engineering and Operations teams on the development of patches that will be applied to the Production system
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and reviewing complete system documentation
  • Assists in capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned systems
  • Performing audits and analysis of application environments for the purpose of ensuring proper configuration management and consistency
  • Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies
  • Oversees network/computer resources and installation of new equipment
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and trends, as well as new developments for the technologies deployed/supported
  • Interacting with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues
  • Assist with team member training and continually look for areas of improvement while providing a high level of service delivery and systems administration
  • ITIL guidelines for Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Monitoring and tuning appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance

Qualifications of the Wintel Systems Administrator Job in in Orange, CT:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3 or more years' experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or Engineer designing, installing, and maintaining Citrix Xenapp, NetScaler Gateway, Citrix Storefront, or Citrix Director
  • Experience working in an environment with complex networking solutions with senior level fundamental knowledge in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP)
  • Experience managing enterprise level Active Directory Structures
  • Experience creating and maintaining complex Microsoft Group Policy implementations
  • Experience creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution
  • Experience configuring and maintaining key services such as DNS, SFTP, SMTP, and NTP.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willing to be a team player
  • ITIL Knowledge
  • Experience in Citrix Administration with both XenApp and XenDektop with multiple sites and farms.
