Typical Responsibilities

The tools team customers are internal development team s , Business Analy st squads, and Quality E ngineers . We support the software utilities and tools that allow other groups to be successful . The position entails being open-minded and flexible as the requirements change quickly. Every team we work with has their own priorities . This becomes challenging for us to balance everyone's number one priority.

We p articipate in code reviews and encourage peers to be their best . LSEG is moving toward being a full DevOps software producer. Having previous experience with DevOps is a huge plus. The position requires knowledge of lots of computer languages . As well as working with the architecture t eam to innovate future proof solutions. It will be required to learn about the financial industry to understand the requirements of the other teams.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Confirmed experience with multiple computer languages (e.g., C#, C++)
  • Proficiency in software methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Dev Ops).
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, DX1).
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Ability to analyze and understand technical problems.
  • Excellent communication and coalition skills.
Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required )
  • Knowledge of multiple scripting languages. (e.g., Python, Pearl)
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks.
