World Wide Technology is looking for a Sr. Data Center Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $85.00 to $90.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Sr. Data Center Engineer w/ Cloud Vision
Location: ONSITE 3 days a week from Gateway Village Campus in Charlotte (Or if candidate has Cloud Vision experience customer will let them work remotely from anywhere in the US)
Duration: 10 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for mapping data center networking solutions to business technology requirements.
- Leverages Bank of America Data Network Standards to design data center constructs that meet technical and functional Line-of-Business requirements.
- Able to develop technology designs, supervise the implementation of these designs, verify their proper functionality, and act as a technical consultant for any issues encountered over the project lifecycle.
- Capable of working with line-of-business and business technology staff to understand and meet project requirements.
- Acts as a trusted partner to provide solutions to their needs.
- Engages in high severity production incidents and problem tickets in support of any data network redesign requirements.
- Able to adjust designs to meet business-required levels of cost, reliability, and functionality.
- Able to understand, formulate, and communicate complex designs with other technology partners within TI.
- Assists in the training of junior associates
- Engages program management and product engineering teams for process and application improvement opportunities
- Reviews system documentation for accuracy and updates as necessary.
- Provides feedback to product teams as to the catalog of standard products, and business requirements for changes to the catalog.
Professional Competencies (Must Haves)
- Possess end to end knowledge of Data Center technical environment.
- Must have history working in or supporting data center network infrastructure environment for large enterprise or carrier.
- Experience with Arista Fabric, CloudVision and EOS, and migration experience from Cisco to Arista Fabric - REQUIRED
- Must have worked with switching equipment for a minimum of 7 years (architecting or designing network solutions).
- Must have clear understanding of current and upcoming trends in the data center networking area including Virtualization, TRILL/Fabric Path, Blade technologies, GRID computing, Low Latency switching, and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
- Must have thorough understanding of switching/routing family of products and their functionality
- Must be adept at taking business requirements and mapping them to technical designs for implementation.
- Must be able to assist in resolution of complex issues during high pressure situations.
- Must be able to communicate with a wide range of staff, from technology implementation through senior management levels.
- Capable of quickly learning new technologies and procedures, as well as being willing to train others in procedures mastered as part of implementations.
