Job Description:
This Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued by the State of Washington (State) HCA (on behalf of the participating agencies) to identify the best value vendor(s) to support the State's HCMACS Program in implementing the Health Care Management and Coordination System (HCMACS) Enterprise EHR Solution within DSHS, DOC and HCA facilities across the state based on shared and individual agency client and program needs. Epic has been selected as the Enterprise EHR for this solution. The selection of the best value vendor(s) will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of their technical expertise, experience, proposed solutions, and cost-effectiveness.
HCA Provider Support vendor, acting on behalf of HCA, will be responsible for leading all activities related to external Providers. This includes managing outreach to Providers, onboarding them onto the Systems Integrator-built HCMACS Enterprise EHR Solution, and maintaining an ongoing management of the Provider relationship.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the effort of defining the standard configuration sets for target Providers including defining their requirements, mapping to workflows, validating Epic standard workflows with Providers, validating final configuration and customizations (HCA's offering)
Coordinate with the Systems Integrator to ensure the desired/required functionality is implemented within HCMACS Enterprise EHR Solution
Discuss the Provider's needs and compare to HCA's standard offering
Minimum of five years of similar experience with Epic
Minimum of one complete implementation cycle within the past five years
Expert understanding of Epic's functionality
Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations related to EHR and the protection of sensitive data
Excellent interpersonal and oral presentation skills
Clinical licensure in the following areas: o Ambulatory Care o Mental/Behavior Health, Substance Abuse Treatment Programs
Participate in and help lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that the HCMACS Enterprise EHR Solution functions as intended
Provide ongoing support to clinical staff after the Epic system goes live
Evaluate requests from Connect sites for localized configuration
Participate in Connect Provider advisory groups led by HCA
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of five years of similar experience with Epic
Minimum of one complete implementation cycle within the past five years
Expert understanding of Epic's functionality
Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations related to EHR and the protection of sensitive data
Excellent interpersonal and oral presentation skills
