Job Description
As a CyberArk Engineer, you will play a crucial supporting role in enhancing a government agency's cybersecurity infrastructure. Working alongside senior engineers, you'll contribute to the deployment and ongoing maintenance of a sophisticated Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution, ensuring it operates flawlessly across all environments.
Your responsibilities will involve engaging with key stakeholders, including DHS CISA integrators, managing roles and safes, deploying software updates, and preparing performance and security reports for the PAM tool. You'll be essential in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities while providing critical support for on-call troubleshooting and remediation efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management of roles and safes within the CyberArk PAM solution.
  • Help deploy software updates and maintain system currency across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports highlighting PAM tool performance and security metrics.
  • Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities within the privileged access management system.
  • Provide essential support for on-call troubleshooting and remediation efforts related to the PAM solution.
  • Support annual disaster recovery testing and documentation of recovery and contingency plans.
  • Assist with operating system patching on vault appliances.
  • Ensure PAM solution meets and exceeds security requirements following the agency's Change Management processes.
  • Contribute to enhancement of reporting capabilities in line with DHS CISA requirements.
  • Map functional requirements into technological requirements and identify suitable technologies.
  • Conduct proof of concept, pilots, and demos to evaluate technology suitability.
  • Evaluate tradeoffs between competing solutions and develop quantitative analysis of alternatives.
  • Produce written analysis and recommendation papers with clear rationale and documentation.


Required Experience/Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience providing business solutions engineering support.
  • Experience with architectural design, engineering design, proof of concept development, pilots, analysis, and documentation.
  • Current Certified CyberArk Sentry credential required.
  • One year of experience in designing and implementing integrated lifecycle management processes for CyberArk.
  • Experience working in organizations comparable in scale to major government agencies.
  • Three years of server administration experience with specific proficiency in Windows Server 2019 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in operating systems and server infrastructure optimization.
  • Ability to perform day-to-day activities to identify technology solutions meeting enterprise requirements.
  • Experience conducting quantitative driven analysis of alternatives.
  • Strong written communication skills for technical documentation and recommendations.
  • Ability to obtain public trust clearance.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Proficiency in CyberArk and SailPoint integration for unified privileged access and identity governance.
  • Comprehensive Active Directory knowledge including account management, Group Policy, AD Schema, PKI, and PowerShell automation.
  • Database management competence with SQL Server 2019, including backups, indexing, integrity checks, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Data modeling and schema skills with ability to interpret Entity Relationship Diagrams.
  • CyberArk configuration expertise for secure collaboration across diverse systems including networks, iDRAC interfaces, applications, cloud services, storage solutions, servers, and appliances.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain public trust clearance.
