Business system analyst

Avanciers is hiring for a Business Systems Analyst for one of our Fortune 500 clients. This is a contract position with locations in New York, New Jersey, and Michigan.

Experience and Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst focused on FIS/Systematics applications.
• In-depth, hands-on technical experience (not business user experience) with at least two of the following FIS/Systematics applications: RM, IM, ST, or FM. Experience with HX, TX, IT, GN, SC, or MA is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Systematics key program functions and logic as it relates to functional applications.
• Proven ability to write both business and system requirements.
• Experience with functional manual testing and reviewing technical/unit testing.
• Familiarity with application balancing and GL reconciliation.
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in creating user process documentation.
• Proven track record of success working as part of a high-performance remote team, including remote deployments.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional matrix teams.

Technical Skills

• Experience with TSO/ISPF, CAVIEW, and Endevor.
• Ability to read, copy, and create PDS and Application Datasets.
• Understanding of SDSF functionality.
• Basic understanding of COBOL.
• Proficiency with File-aid, including basic file reading, mapping copybooks, and selecting records.
• Experience writing and executing Easytrieve programs (e.g., creating report lists, report summaries, and delimited datasets).
• Ability to create and use mainframe macros for screen scraping and data entry.
• Proficiency with software such as Excel, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, and Monarch.
