Title: Virtualization Specialist
Location: Boston, MA 02125
Duration: 6 Months Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Virtualization Specialist to support modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VMware and VXRails, with proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing virtualized environments to enhance performance and reduce operational costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain VMware-based virtual server and desktop infrastructures.

  • Modernize existing virtual environments to improve scalability, stability, and efficiency.

  • Work closely with IT teams to implement virtualization best practices and cost-effective solutions.

  • Perform upgrades, patches, and performance tuning on VMware and VXRails systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization, storage, and networking.

  • Develop documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and standards.

Required Skills:

  • VMware Certified professional (VCP or equivalent).

  • Hands-on experience with VMware on VXRails.

  • Strong knowledge of virtual server and desktop environment design.

  • Proven experience in modernization and cost-optimization initiatives.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
