Senior O365 Messaging & Exchange Engineer
Location: Hybrid - 4 days/week onsite in Columbus, OH 43219
Are you a seasoned messaging engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Exchange Online and email security? Join our team as a Senior O365 Messaging & Exchange Engineer, where you'll lead the design, engineering, and advanced support of our enterprise messaging platform.

What You'll Do
  • Design & Architecture
    • Engineer and optimize messaging solutions using Microsoft Exchange Online and hybrid configurations.
    • Lead migrations and integrations during M&A and platform transitions.
    • Develop policies and transport rules to meet compliance needs.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Serve as a tier-3 escalation point for complex messaging issues.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
    • Monitor system health and proactively address risks.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Administer email security tools like Proofpoint, Cisco IronPort, or similar.
    • Implement anti-phishing, spam filtering, and DLP measures.
    • Collaborate with security teams to meet audit standards.
  • Process & Automation
    • Maintain runbooks and engineering documentation.
    • Use ServiceNow for ITSM processes.
    • Identify and implement automation opportunities.

What You Bring
Must-Have Skills:
  • 7+ years in Microsoft Exchange (on-prem & O365)
  • Expertise in hybrid deployments and troubleshooting
  • Strong PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with email security platforms (Proofpoint, IronPort, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and O365 compliance policies

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with IronPort ESA, Proofpoint, Abnormal
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online
  • Exposure to Azure AD, MFA, and conditional access
  • Understanding of email archiving and eDiscovery
  • M&A IT integration experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
