Job Details

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to champion continuous improvement and elevate internal quality metrics. You will lead efforts to reduce non-conformances, mitigate customer returns, and mentor junior team members, all while supporting production, auditing, and corrective programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employ Six Sigma and lean methodologies to reduce scrap and rework
  • Lead corrective/preventative action programs to eliminate defects and returns
  • Develop training for operators, inspectors, and QA personnel
  • Manage customer returns through material review and corrective actions
  • Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective actions to meet quality standards
  • Support customer audits and respond to corrective requests
  • Select and train staff on product evaluation tools and software
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field
  • Prior experience in aerospace or elastomer/plastics manufacturing preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of QA standards and continuous improvement tools
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, communication, and multitasking
  • Self-motivated with leadership qualities and a sense of urgency
  • Bonus if you hold ASQ, Lean, or Six Sigma certifications
