Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Job Type: Contract

Location: Austin, TX(Hybrid)

Duration: Long Term

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain software solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java/J2EE development, RESTful web services, and relational databases. This role involves enhancing existing applications, implementing new features, troubleshooting defects, and ensuring high code quality through testing and peer reviews. The candidate will also support multiple environments, maintain security policies, and provide on-call support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Java-based applications using J2EE, Spring Framework, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Design and implement RESTful web services on the Spring platform.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for relational databases.
  • Enhance and maintain business logic, user interfaces, and reporting capabilities.
  • Perform unit testing using JUnit and ensure high code coverage.
  • Support defect resolution, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting in production environments.
  • Collaborate with team members through peer code reviews and documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with security policies and best practices.
  • Provide on-call support for critical issues as needed.
  • Work with Angular UI Framework (preferred) for front-end development.
  • Develop reports using Crystal Reports and PowerBI (preferred).

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Java programming (OOP).
  • 8+ years of experience in J2EE application development.
  • 8+ years of experience writing SQL for relational databases.
  • 8+ years of experience developing RESTful web services on Spring.
  • 8+ years of experience with Spring AOP (Aspect-Oriented Programming) including transaction management and security.
  • 8+ years of experience with JUnit and unit testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with Angular UI Framework.
  • 4+ years of experience with Crystal Reports.
  • 4+ years of experience with PowerBI.
