Job Details
We're partnered with a well-established Managed Service Provider in Charlotte, NC seeking an MSP Field Engineer to support a variety of local clients. This role is hands-on and highly technical, working with Cisco networking gear, Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, and standard MSP toolsets. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position ideal for someone who enjoys variety, client interaction, and exposure to multiple technologies and environments.
Required Skills & Experience
3-5+ years of IT support or systems/network administration experience
Strong experience with Windows Server (2016-2022)
Hands-on experience with Cisco switches, routers, and basic firewall configurations
Solid understanding of VLANs, routing, DHCP, DNS, and general networking fundamentals
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration and support
Experience supporting virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V)
Strong customer-facing communication abilities
Comfortable traveling to client sites within the Charlotte area
Ability to manage multiple issues, tickets, and priorities simultaneously
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with Meraki dashboard management
Familiarity with backup platforms such as Veeam or Datto
Knowledge of PSA/RMM systems (ConnectWise, N-able, Autotask)
Experience with wireless deployments and troubleshooting
Exposure to firewall platforms such as Cisco ASA, Meraki MX, or SonicWall
Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, MCSA, or similar
