Job Details

Job Title: Azure Databricks Architect (Banking domain must)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite 5 days)
Duration: Long-term Contract.

Qualifications:

10+ years in Data Architecture/Engineering.

4+ years of deep hands-on Databricks expertise (Spark, Delta Lake, performance tuning).

Strong domain experience with Lending and Deposit data (e.g., loan origination, servicing, regulatory data).

Expert SQL/PySpark and Cloud Provider (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) experience. Familiarity with Unity Catalog.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Leadership: Design & lead the implementation of secure, scalable data solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog). Define technical standards and ensure compliance/governance for sensitive financial data.

Hands-on Development: Act as a hands-on expert, building optimized data marts in Databricks to support analytics. Write efficient data pipelines using Python/PySpark and SQL, and manage CI/CD.

Collaboration: Work closely with business teams (Risk, Finance) to gather requirements and translate them into technical specs. Mentor junior staff & collaborate with other tech teams
