Senior Deskside Support Specialist - Jacksonville, FL

Onsite Position
We're seeking a Senior Deskside Support Specialist to provide advanced onsite IT support for employees across the organization. This role is highly customer-facing and combines technical expertise with strong communication skills. The position includes responsibility for resolving complex hardware and software issues, maintaining IT systems, mentoring junior team members, and delivering executive-level "white glove" service. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support critical deadlines or urgent situations.

Key Responsibilities
Advanced Technical Support (Approx. 45%)
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complicated or non-routine IT issues affecting desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain hardware, software, and related technology.
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve complex problems while documenting processes and resolutions.
- Create knowledge base materials and tip sheets for end-user education.
- Provide hands-on, high-touch support to senior leadership.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
- Partner with other IT teams to ensure smooth integration of systems and applications.
Customer Service & Executive Support (Approx. 40%)
- Deliver responsive, high-quality service to employees and leadership.
- Offer specialized, onsite and remote support to executives with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ensure that service delivery meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Project & Hardware Management (Approx. 5%)
- Assist with the evaluation, selection, and rollout of new technology solutions.
- Coordinate deployment of replacement equipment.
- Organize IT resources and equipment for onsite meetings or events.
Mentorship & Training (Approx. 10%)
- Provide day-to-day guidance to junior team members, assisting in skill development.
- Deliver onboarding IT training and ensure new hires have the tools they need to be productive.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field OR 5+ years of progressively responsible IT support experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Strong expertise in desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals and IT infrastructure.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues independently.
- Experience supporting Windows environments.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) practices and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical information clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated customer service focus, with experience supporting executives or VIPs preferred.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Must be able to work onsite at the corporate location.
