Job Title: Production Support Engineer (Mainframe 70% / Java 30%)

Overview:
Seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer with strong expertise in Mainframe systems and additional proficiency in Java-based support. The role involves monitoring, incident management, major incident handling, root cause analysis, and coordination with development teams in a 24/7 support environment.
Responsibilities:
Monitor ServiceNow queues for incoming incidents, ensure timely acknowledgment, triage, and resolution within defined SLAs.
Support L0 and L1 production issues, ensuring stability and availability of critical systems.
Participate in Major Incident Management (EMIM) bridges; drive restoration activities during production outages.
Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents and present findings to stakeholders.
Create and manage Problem Records for recurring issues; collaborate with development teams to drive permanent fixes.
Participate in deployment validation bridges and execute project health checks post-deployment.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for known issues and coordinate handover to Mission Control teams.
Execute shift handover activities as part of a 24x7 rotational support model.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on expertise with Mainframe technologies (70 percent focus).
Working knowledge of Java for secondary support (30 percent).
Experience with Splunk for log analysis and production monitoring.
Solid understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.
Ability to work effectively during high-severity incidents and restoration efforts.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
