Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for ingesting data from various sources, including clinics, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Develop and implement data models, schema designs, and table structures to support various data needs, including formulary management, inventory tracking, and patient impact analysis.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of all ingested data.
  • Monitor data pipelines for performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations.
  • Work closely with analytics teams to provide clean and accessible data for reporting and insights.
  • Implement data governance best practices and ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations.
  • Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Additional Preferences

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree in a relevant field HIGHLY preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data ingestion, pipeline development, and data warehousing.
  • Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing data structures, creating tables, and optimizing database performance.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with real-time data streaming technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and related data services.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one relevant language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and techniques.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and data quality principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
