Are you an Accountant or Assistant Controller looking to move up to the next level? Our client, located in San Diego, CA, is seeking to hire a Sr. Accountant for their financial services organization. In this position, you'll play a vital role with the responsibility to help oversee "day-to-day" financial functions and efficiency of the business. As a Sr. Accountant you will be working in a fun, fast-paced environment and will have responsibilities of the various accounting functions including General Ledger, Monthly Financial Reports, Budgeting and Month-end Close.

Job Description:

• Oversee and assist the company s day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger, monthly financial reports, budgeting and month-end close.
• Review of A/P and A/R in the general ledger.
• Provide accrual analysis.
• Work with GL and provide balance sheets
• Fixed assets and property tax reporting.
• Mentor and direct junior accountants
• Work with auditors.

Basic Requirements:

• Proven and successful Sr. Accountant and/or Assistant Controller experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience in expense control and monitoring, reporting budget and taking corrective measures.
• Experience working in the financial services industry is a plus, but not a must.
• 4-year degree in accounting or finance or a related field.
