Job Title: Power BI Developer/Analyst
Duration: Estimated 9/15/2025 approx. 3 months
Location: Clark, NJ | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Job Description/Requirements:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Power BI Developer/Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You will collaborate with business units to understand reporting needs and translate them into insightful dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements from stakeholders for reporting and dashboard needs.
  • Design and develop efficient data models within Power BI, including calculated columns and DAX measures.
  • Create interactive, visually appealing reports and dashboards.
  • Connect to various data sources (SQL, Excel, SharePoint, cloud warehouses, APIs).
  • Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy.
  • Implement data governance and row-level security (RLS).
  • Document Power BI solutions and provide user training/support.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists on integration efforts.
  • Troubleshoot data quality and refresh issues.
  • Stay up to date with Power BI feature releases and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 2 5+ years of experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Strong DAX and SQL proficiency.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP Business Objects, Spotfire, or similar BI tools.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or Azure SQL Database.
  • Familiarity with Python or R.
  • Understanding of data visualization and UX best practices.
