Purpose of the role

To implement data quality process and procedures, ensuring that data is reliable and trustworthy, then extract actionable insights from it to help the organisation improve its operation, and optimise resources.

Accountabilities
  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
  • Execution of data cleansing and transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Development and application of advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve complex business problems.
  • Documentation of data quality findings and recommendations for improvement.

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services LLC seeks AVP, SAS Data Analyst in Wilmington, DE (multiple positions available):
  • Produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports to assist with resolution of consumer and commercial card and loan bank wide issues for the Customer Remediation Team ("CRT") within Barclays Customer Delivery business.
  • Make use of tools such as SAS to query bank databases to identify accounts impacted by opened incidents.
  • Apply SQL and Oracle SQL programming to extract, load, and transform customer specific data.
  • Create complex queries utilizing SAS, Python, and Tableau to extract data from multiple data sources.
  • Design and create datasets using SAS analytics and SAS Grid from various sources including MS excel, MS Access, flat files, and Oracle files.
  • Automate processes and integration within existing operational framework using UNIX scripts.
  • Utilize TSYS mainframe through Visual basic and SAS Scripts as per test scenarios to condition test data and validate test results.
  • Employ PL/SQL and SQL loader calling Unix Scripts to download and manipulate files.
  • Execute quality control testing, files, customer account updates, and financial analysis, using SAS technical skills as they relate to problem remediation efforts.
  • Develop UNIX Shell scripts for Batch processing of data files to update accounts.
  • Identify accounts as defined by business requirements.
  • Ensure the validation of files and assist in making changes as needed based on requirements and the creation of batch update files.
  • May telecommute.
