Contract position

• Software development (Backend: Java, Python, and Frontend: Vue.js -JavaScript) as part of a Scrum Team delivering incremental value
• Assist with testing of the application, in coordination with QA / Testing teams
• Work collaboratively with other developers, QA/Testing, internal, and external partners to plan and execute global Engineering Application requirements in support of world-class system availability and performance
• Be available for application deployments and go-live support
• Work to build and enhance the Pratt DevSecOps pipeline and overall code quality & automations
• Help design and build enterprise application integration solutions to enable end-to-end data connectivity across the organization
• Assist with the deployment of application performance monitoring tools to improve the performance and reliability of applications
• Participate in the DT Interdisciplinary Program Management Teams to provide technical expertise and maintain project continuity, and communicate deployment plans
• Assist with authoring the Pratt roadmap for the software application as it relates to broader strategy, including technologies and industry best practices
• Mentor and coach new members of the team, including technical setup and product knowledge sharing
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java or Python.
• Develop user-facing features using Vue.js and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team and personal learning.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Python (both preferred).
• Experience with front-end development using Vue.js (JavaScript).
• Extensive experience with Azure cloud services.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and containerization.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
