Responsibilities:
-
Provide support, on-going maintenance, and required modifications to Customer UNIX and cloud systems.
-
Design infrastructure solutions with the Customers assistance for Agency customers.
-
Provide research and analytical services for new projects as they emerge.
-
Support and manage applications within the existing environment.
-
Implement changes to existing software, hardware, and managed applications.
-
Conduct Pilot projects and research into new technologies to support current or new processes as needed.
-
Create complete and accurate project, system, application, and security documentation.
-
Develop timelines as requested.
-
Evaluate and recommend improvements to systems and/or processes as requested.
-
Evaluate system tools and determine their usefulness to the Customer and its agency customer's environment.

Support and comply with all Customer and Open Systems policies and procedures.
-
1Provide support, on-going maintenance, and required modifications to Customer UNIX and cloud systems.

Maintain accurate and detailed accounting of hours worked and tasks completed for each project.

Generate weekly status report.

Work within the constraints of the Agency policies on security, privacy, and procedures.

Support and comply with all Agency policies and procedures.
-
Document work activities through Agency Change Management, Service Desk and Cost allocation procedures.

Reporting for emergency duty is required as part of this position. Emergencies may occur at any time and create varying degrees of damage, human suffering, injury, death, and property damage or destruction. The client, along with many other local and state agencies, has responsibilities before, during, and/or after emergencies. The client Consultants are an important part of our emergency responsibilities. In the event of an emergency, unless Consultant is granted a temporary exemption from emergency duty, Consultant may be required to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days to perform emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.

Qualifications:
8 Years of experience:
-
Expert experience with Solaris Operating System Administration; to include Zones, UFS, and ZFS.
-
Expert experience with Linux Operating System Administration, both OEL and Red Hat.
-
Strong experience administering Volume Managers and Backup/Recovery software.
-
Strong working knowledge of Exadata, Oracle Database Appliances, Oracle Private Cloud Appliances, Oracle Exa and Compute Cloud-at-Customer systems.
-
Solaris/Linux shell scripting (.ksh, .sh, .csh) experience to include experience with Ansible preferred.
-
Networker and bare-metal system recovery experience.
-
Strong experience in patching, maintaining Linux Repos, system security, networking, logging, Linux firewall administration, and firewall procedures.
-
Ability and willingness to mentor junior and journeymen UNIX administrators
-
Experience administering virtual environments to include VMware and OVM based virtual machines.
-
Experience administering, patching and supporting cloud environments to include Oracle OCI and AWS.
-
Knowledge of multiple operating systems, including Solaris and Linux (Centos, Red Hat and OEL).

Experience installing and configuring operating systems and application software.
-
Knowledge of F5 management and services.
-
Knowledge of Backup and Recovery software (Networker, Rubric & CommVault) and procedures.
-
Knowledge of LogicMonitor monitoring software.
-
Knowledge of web application support (Apache, Nginx, PHP, Perl, Java, RubyRails), content managers, and MySQL.

Experience with hardware repair and service maintenance.

Experience debugging software and hardware issues.

Knowledge of government project and process management concepts
