Common Missile Compartment (CMC) Program is looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join a team of Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) members to contribute to various projects at various stages throughout the system lifecycle.
The successful candidate will develop MBSE models utilized in the verification arm of the System lifecycle and may support various CMC projects that are in manufacture and test phases. Integration meetings with various internal stakeholders from technical subject matter experts to external Customer representatives are a part of a developing a successful verification models In these meetings, the successful candidate will lead individual model diagram reviews, iterate the products, and peer review in working group meetings.

As a CMC Systems Engineer you will:

Work as a thought leader and pathfinder to develop, optimize & demonstrate best practices for model-based verification for incorporation into the wider FBM & Strategic & Missile Defense (SMD) organizations
Have access to advanced training and/or certifications in the areas of MBSE and Systems Architecture as part of a talent pipeline of certified Systems Engineers, Requirement Engineers, and System Architects
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into specifications
Lead and coordinate with subject matter experts across LM Space for concurrence on objective quantifiable evidence that meets verification approaches in the verification model

Desired skills

Bachelors degree in Engineering and 1 year of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
Familiarity with FBM
Master's Degree in Engineering
Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking
skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
Experience with coordinating product reviews with stakeholder
Familiarity with Agile Project Management (Jira)
Experience reporting project progress, issues, and create solutions to leadership
Experience with software development (Python, MATLAB, or similar script programming)
Familiarity with risk and opportunity management
Active DOD clearance

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $84,300 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
