Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 9-1-1 Network Architect to join their team. This role involves assisting with the transformation of wire centers by researching legacy 9-1-1 circuit designs, documenting, and tracking existing connections. The ideal candidate will work closely with relationship management and migration project management professionals to ensure the implementation of secure, efficient, and scalable fiber-based networks. This is a critical role aimed at enhancing our emergency response capabilities and requires a detailed-oriented professional with strong technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network solutions that align with business requirements and 9-1-1 industry standards.
- Analyze existing drawings, databases, and collaborate with team members to uncover detailed legacy network designs.
- Coordinate with team members across departments to design, order, and track new network implementations for service providers and public safety points.
- Develop, maintain, and update network architecture diagrams, documentation, and adherence to standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and tools to enhance system efficiency and security.
- Implement and maintain network security protocols to ensure data protection and system integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network installation and decommissioning issues promptly.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers within the team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a network architect, specifically with legacy 9-1-1 systems and protocols such as CAMA, ISDN, and T1/T3.
- Strong background in network design and implementation projects, with a focus on TDM and SIP circuits.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting complex information and ambiguous situations.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various technical and business teams.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- At least six years of experience in a 9-1-1 planning or related role.
- Comprehensive understanding of general and 9-1-1-specific network protocols, architecture, and security measures.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or ENP are highly desirable.
