Job Description
DUTIES:
- Develop the data processes for the application, build data frameworks for the team, and research, test and implement new database features and technologies.
- Responsible for building solutions which are flexible, performant and scalable.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise and integrate domain knowledge with an understanding of overall strategy and impact.
- The Data Engineer will explore new technology options and must have a high sense of ownership over every deliverable.
- Research new database technologies to take advantage of features that teams can use to bring performance and stability to their applications.
- Research and implement new Oracle features, particularly relating to database performance, stability and availability.
- Produce dynamic, data driven solutions to support the strategic business goals.
- Focus on designing, building, and launching efficient and reliable data infrastructure to scale and compute to meet objectives.
- Design and develop new systems and tools to better identify and troubleshoot data issues.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related.
- Five (5) years in any occupation with development, engineering or related experience.
- Five (5) years in any occupation with development, engineering or related experience must include: Oracle RAC and Exadata; Oracle SQL; Oracle PL/SQL; Automatic Workload Repository (AWR); SQL Tuning Advisor; and SQL Access Advisor.
