Position :: Azure Architect

Soft Skills - really important
- Engage in conversation - need to be able to have back and forth understanding & conversations/ don t want a bull in a China shop
- Work well with other teams
100% azure environment - built in microservices architecture
Have 2 azure engineers (mid-level & high level ) released the mid as part of the RIF - the high level one turned in their notice
- Will not have anyone on his team - will be replacing the high level engineer.
High level - Sr. Azure engineer - there is mostly supporting azure function apps & azure development. They don t use VMs in their environment.
- 25% solutions architect - helping solve problems, evaluate environment
- 50% engineering / building out & hands on keyboard type work -- configuring disaster recovery solution
- 25% need some help DevOps organization - build out pipeline. CICD is not built out
- No current DevOps team is built out - would like the operations side to build pipelines to have automation. Developers can push out their own code - automated. Strong nice to have ***
- Implementing disaster recovery solution with Commvault - technical configuration - working through this w/ all storage accts to link up to Commvault. Need that person to take that over.
- Day to day support will also be part of this
- BI teams and app dev teams - will work closely with these teams
- May grow the team in the future - maybe 2 people in the future. May not be able to convert until 2027 - conversion not defined yet.
- Must have Terraform
- azure data lake storage knowledge
- Microsoft identity?
- Azure files & domain services for a specific team
- Nice to have- use Palo Alto virtual machine to secure - non Microsoft firewall options
- Need to have decent level O365 admin experience - permissions mgmt, assigning, eDiscovery, etc.
- MSP handles - service desk, network, cloud environment --
- Person will create documentation of azure tenant
