About this Position:
Job Title: Network Architect
Education Requirements:
-
Bachelor's Degree, from an accredited college/university, in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.
Required Qualifications:
-
Knowledge of and experience working in a large (2,500 user or more) network environment.
-
Experience as a lead technician, responsible for training team members.
-
Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Enterprise Firewalls.
-
Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Enterprise WAN environments.
-
Experience troubleshooting skills in both WAN and LAN environments.
-
Experience working with MyFloridaNet (MFN) and the State Division of Telecommunications.
-
Knowledge of command-line configuration with Cisco routers is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience working in a criminal justice environment.
-
Knowledge of Cisco Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.
-
Experience with MyFloridaNet (MFN) configuration and design.
-
Proficiency configuring and applying best practices to CheckPoint FW / IPS.
-
Working knowledge of Kiwi CatTools, Aruba Clearpass / Airwave.
-
Knowledge of HP/Aruba, and Cisco switches.
-
Experience designing and deploying Network Access Control via Aruba Clearpass.
-
Experience mapping remote LANs, and creating detailed documentation, MS Visio preferred.
-
Skilled at VoIP systems configuration, troubleshooting, and QoS.
-
Experience designing wireless networks with an emphasis on security, creating Heat Maps, troubleshooting RF interference.
-
Skilled at researching, developing and supporting network monitoring tools similar to Cacti, SolarWinds.
-
Experience with Linux system administration.

Proficiency programming in Python, C, and PowerShell scripting.

Experience with state government projects.
-
Experience using Offender Based Information System (OBIS).
-
Knowledge of IT standards in a criminal justice environment.

Skilled at working with CSAB ordering processes.
