Job Summary
The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for planning and managing capital procurement activities while ensuring compliance with contractual expectations and objectives. This includes overseeing the development, negotiation, redlining, and implementation of major contracts aligned with strategic sourcing strategies and category goals. The role requires handling large-scale software, hardware, and services purchases, managing supplier relationships, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and technology vendors to ensure contractual agreements, warranties, and service levels are upheld .
Key Responsibilities
Ensure continuity of supply for key contracted materials and services during both normal operations and outages.
Manage large-scale IT and telecommunications projects, including SaaS contracts, servers, and enterprise software purchases.
Lead complex commercial negotiations and provide hands-on contract redlining and management support.
Oversee contract administration, including:
Change orders, claims, and back charges.
Warranty claim management.
Developing contractor performance assessment methods.
Protecting and preserving contractual rights.
Develop innovative contracting strategies for new projects, coordinating with internal clients to evaluate contractor qualifications (via RFPs and other methods).
Source and manage additional procurement/contract management professionals as needed.
Required Qualifications
Proven, hands-on experience redlining contracts (must-have).
Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration or related field (or 10+ years related experience in lieu of degree).
Minimum 6 years of experience in sourcing for large capital procurement projects.
Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Understanding of project management and scheduling.
Desired Qualifications
5+ years of IT procurement management experience.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Experience with SAP, Ariba, and e-sourcing tools.
- CPM, CPSM, CPSD, or PMP certification.
Supplier diversity experience.
Lean Six Sigma or process optimization experience.
Ability to assess contractual risk, implement mitigation strategies, and monitor performance-based payment measures.
