Controls Engineer

Description:

12 months. 100% Onsite.

Responsibilities:


  • Support all aspects of digital transformation, including implementation of new processes and seamless integration into existing operations
  • Integration and delivery of digital/natively connected equipment
  • Influence data to ensure communication link between new systems and legacy systems
  • Ensure devices are ready to communicate downstream and upstream.
  • Validate work prior to shipment
  • Lead digital manufacturing qualification assessments
  • Verify planned configuration against digital architecture and influence architectural strategy
  • Test validity of QR codes on targeted products and kits, report issues, and track resolution
  • Implement Industry 4.0 Smart Factory solutions
  • Gather and select improvement opportunities/ideas
  • Develop Digital Apps/solutions with end user from Approval for start, Feasibility, Design, Pilot and Release
  • Implement and adapt processes on manufacturing workstation for existing products by improving the industrial performance in a highly automated facility
  • Take part in the specifications and quotation of new line architectures and industrial scenarios
  • Ensure the deployment of Lean/6 Sigma tools
  • Oversee system updates of the organizational structure when modifications are necessary
  • Other duties as required

Skills & Experience:


  • Bachelor s degree in an engineering field
  • At least 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment including business informatics and/or computer science
  • Experience with data communication devices
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Experience with Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Hardware Specifications, CAD, and CAD/CAM Circuit Design
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to effectively present technical information
  • Strong SQL and SQL database knowledge
  • In depth experience with OPC Unified Architecture platform
  • Solid background in wireless and wired communications protocols, digital device test applications, and system integration documentation
  • HTTP protocol understanding
  • Experience configuring and designing HMI systems
  • Strong PLC programming (Unity, ProWORX, SoMachine) knowledge
  • Familiarity with vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
  • Familiarity with electronic circuits (digital, analog, power and high voltage)
