Telecom Engineer

Overview:
Kavaliro is seeking a skilled Telecom Engineer to join our client's team in Orlando, FL. This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with experience in voice engineering and collaboration technologies. The Telecom Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting enterprise-level voice, video, and data communication systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support Cisco Unified Communications solutions (CUCM, Unity, CER, UCCX, WxCC)
  
  
• Configure and manage voice gateways, SIP trunks, and call routing
  
  
• Support collaboration tools including Cisco Jabber, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, and room-based video systems (WebEx Boards, Video Bars)
  
  
• Administer call recording platforms (Eleveo, Dubber) and voice system call accounting
  
  
• Monitor and troubleshoot network and telecom systems using SolarWinds and similar tools
  
  
• Maintain emergency communication systems including E911, paging, and intercom
  
  
• Provide support for VMware infrastructure and virtual environments (ESXi)
  
  
• Assist in telecom-related projects and ticketing system resolution
  
  
• Manage telecom infrastructure including structured cabling, telecom closets, and low-voltage systems
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on network integration, DNS, DHCP, SSL certs, NPS, RADIUS, TACACS, and VOIP protocols
  
  
• Maintain documentation, perform system updates, and ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards
  
  

Must-Have Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Voice Engineer, Communications Engineer, or Voice Administrator
  
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
  
• Solid hands-on experience with Cisco voice and collaboration tools
  
  
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, virtual environments, and server OS (Windows, Linux, Android, iOS)
  
  
• Strong knowledge of telecom network protocols and infrastructure
  
  
• Ability to obtain the following certifications within 12 months of employment:
  
  
• Cisco Certified Specialist Collaboration Core
  
  
• Voice-Collaboration or Network Certification
  
  
• CCNA Certification
