IT Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Security Engineer with a strong background in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Email Security. This role is pivotal in safeguarding enterprise systems, ensuring secure access controls, and defending against email-based threats. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, hands-on experience with Proofpoint and SailPoint, and a proactive mindset to strengthen our cyber defense posture.

Design, implement, and manage IAM solutions including AD, Azure AD, SSO, and MFA

Administer and optimize email security platforms, with a focus on Proofpoint

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce secure access policies and identity governance

Develop and maintain scripts to automate security tasks and enhance operational efficiency

Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents related to identity and email systems

Support integration of IAM and email security with cloud platforms and enterprise applications

Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal and external security standards

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Proven experience with Proofpoint email security solutions

Strong proficiency in IAM technologies including Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO, and MFA

Hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ or similar IAM platforms

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and operating systems (Windows, Linux)

Proficient in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)

In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat vectors, and mitigation strategies

Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment

Strong communication and documentation skills
