Job Description:
Apex Systems is hiring for a Data Engineer for a major Healthcare company.
12 month contract
FULLY REMOTE anywhere in the United States.
You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
About the role:
This team maintains an existing application that delivers savings as part of the client's claim processing pipeline by detecting fraud, waste, and abuse.
The application is supported by 4 scrum teams with a variety of cross-team dependencies; the roadmap for 2025 includes multiple new applications and capabilities affecting the application; the teams work in agile sprints and have a close working relationship with business partners.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree
2+ years of related experience.
Technical Skills:
Kafka
Python
SQL
Healthcare experience is a plus
Experience with one or more of the following:
Big Data; Data Processing
Diagnosing system issues, engaging in data validation, and providing quality assurance testing
Data Manipulation; Data Mining
Experience working in a production cloud infrastructure
C#; Java
Soft Skills:
Strong communication
Highly motivated
Day to Day:
The data engineer will deliver day to day development of streaming data pipelines to migrate an existing batch data process to streaming and help optimize and configure queues.
Work with business partners to provide validation data and incorporate feedback into iterative changes.
Provide code reviews to other team members and participate in production deployments and testing.
The primary performance expectation is for this engineer to partner successfully with the existing team and show steady measurable progress (deployed code) toward project milestones.
This role is unique because it encompasses all aspects of the claim data ingest, editing, and orchestration pipeline; it also has the potential for direct interaction with business partners and immediate impact on company bottom line
