Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated SDET in Grapevine, TX

Position Title: SDET

Location: Hybrid Role (Near DFW Airport) CFC 1701 N 24th Ave, Grapevine, TX 75261

Anticipated Start Date: 07/28

Expected Duration: 6+ months with strong possibility of extension

Pay Range: $38/hr. to $42/hr.

Job Type: [FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY) [CONTRACT], [Hybrid]

Job Description:

• Collaborates with leaders, fellow engineers, IT architects, technical leads and scrum lead, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop IT solutions according to business requirements


• Maintains and enhances existing code and stored procedures, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development


• Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solutions


• Participates in Agile ceremonies and provides estimates


• Supports the development of coding standards and adheres to best practices and security guidelines


• Design and develop test automation framework and strategy using Playwright


• Establish Test Automation process and involve in evaluating/planning the automation roadmap.


• Create test strategy, test plans and test cases for projects managed through Agile development methodology.


• Develop automation scripts for Graph QL APIs and Korber WMS software.


• Created data-driven tests to check application performance with different sets of data.


• Works closely with IT architects and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs

Skills:

• Proficiency as Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)


• Proficiency and demonstrated experience in the following technologies:

o Node JS - Typescript/Javascript

o Database and persistence frameworks: SQL, Stored Procedures, Mongo DB, Query creation, Query performance tuning

o Cloud-based development: Azure K8

o Web Services: REST; GraphQL

o Frameworks: KOA

o Build/deployment tools: Github and Github Actions

o Monitoring Tools: Dynatrace, Mezmo

o Other: JavaScript/typescript, VS code

o QA Automation: Cucumber, Playwright, Load testing framework

• Proficiency in object-oriented design techniques and principles


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)


• Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM


• Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training


• 5 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training


• Airline Industry experience

Top 3-5 skills: Automation Tools like Playwright, JavaScript/Typescript

Data flow knowledge in MongoDB & SQL DB
